The idea of taking a deep dive into TikTok started when We noticed just how much the app has changed and grown since its boom in popularity in 2020. It interested us how an app with little regulation and millions of users could become the new powerhouse in social media. It was then when we looked inward at our own excessive use of the app and the (maybe not so) user friendly subjects seen on the app. We then thought is this really a place for kids or a place people should sit for potential hours just scrolling through hardly regulated content?
