Taylor’s Escape
In order to understand why Taylor’s fight was so strong you had to know the background history. I thought including her softball career was the most important thing to do. She has been a softball player her whole life. Her sickness was founded on the field and she tries to defeat it everyday on the field.
The interview was important because I had to make sure that she mentioned her passion for the game. This passion is what helped her fight. She was a young 14 year old girl trying to navigate through life. She was happy to be back on the field that raised her.
During this week I had a chance to understand just what the field felt like to Taylor. She was able to show me how life was on the dirt for her. This is a very good week as it helped me build more information for her story.
