Lights, Camera, Action

Week 6

Research

After finally prepping I was able to shoot some content. I have researched different methods to figure out how I want to piece these things together. I wanted to make this film as happy as I could. This isn’t a sad story, yet a victory story. That means it is possible for me to have happy moments in the beginning of the film. Unlike, your typical dateline episodes, I am able to start my show off on a happy note. If you notice, you watch a dateline episode they start gloomy. I wanted to see how I can make this an aspiring film. Adding music, film, and photos that make it more aspiring.

Feedback

After doing my first week, My professor just wanted to make sure that I have my ducks in a row. He wanted to make sure my preproduction journal was complete, so that I had a guidelines to follow. I was able to also get feedback from Taylor. She made me aware of her ideas for this film. She wanted people to know that she is a overcomer, not a walking sympathy. My peers also made me aware that I can also use the new media center. I applied all the feedback that I received for my shooting this week.

Reflection

This week I overall felt very confident about my film. Getting the ball rolling already makes me happy about what the finished product will look like. After setting up appointments and interviews, I realize that I am already making great progress. I will soon be able to edit this clip so that I can throw it on the timeline with other clips. I will be happy to start adding b roll on top and voiceovers. This film starting has really made me excited to see the final result.
