Assembly Edits – Week 11
This week I focused on trying to assemble the footage that I’ve made so far in an organized order in order to show to the professor. This required me to organize all of the raw footage from the SD card to the hard drive I was using. I knew that if I were to have placed the footage anywhere in the hard drive, it would look cluttered and make me overwhelmed. The majority of this week was spent organizing the footage so I could have a clear vision on what to film next.
The overall prices of creating this video has really been an eye opener to me. I realized how much time and effort goes into creating a video essay and I’m not even halfway down yet. The most excruciating and tedious part of creating this video so far has been the extensive research and having top create a skit that will keep the audience engaged. I was worried that me sitting in front of a camera would not keep the audience’s attention very long. However, when I thought about the video essays that I watched online, they were able to keep me engaged the entire time because of the points they were making and the humor they added to it.
