This process has been quite the grind. By far, the most difficult part of the whole process has been getting my interviews set up and confirmed. This is understandable, as the basketball team is in the stretch run of their season and both the coach and players are very focused on the season at hand. At this very moment, I’ve made some headway, as I am on an email chain with the associate athletic director and Coach Helfer trying to set up an official interview time. Hopefully I’ll get a concrete answer in the next week.
Other than that, doing all the planning and pre-production documents has been plenty of work by itself. Trying to make sure every detail is accounted for has required a whole lot of brainpower. From blocking diagrams and exemplars to hypothetical shooting schedules and image systems outlays, there has been a good bit of paperwork to get wrapped up before shooting can even be considered. All of those are close to done, however, and with it, I now have a much clearer picture of what I will be doing as a whole.
