Week 5: Pitch Video

Pitch video about the Harley Langdale Jr. Foundation.

In order to create my pitch video, I had to define the who, what, when, where, why, and how of my project. The who, the subject of the documentary is The Harley Langdale Jr. Foundation. The what is a 22.5-minute documentary highlighting the foundation, its mission, its impact throughout the community, and its goals for the future. I want to look at the creation of the Foundation, the Foundation’s past work, projects in the present, goals, and projects forecasted in the future. I want to begin by explaining the Foundation as a whole and then talk about organizations in the community that have been positively impacted by the help of the Foundation. As for why, this foundation is invested in the well-being of the community and they do a lot to serve and assist organizations and programs that align with their core values. The foundation does what it can to grant opportunities when they might not be feasible otherwise. The Foundation believes it is vitally important to educate our youth about the importance of agriculture and natural resources in their daily lives. I really want to highlight what this Foundation makes possible and how many lives they have touched. And lastly, how, I have a great team willing to help me with the production of my documentary. I will be filming my documentary throughout February and March. I have gotten permission to use VSU’s Sony FS5 cameras and I will also be using tripods, a ring light, a Tascam, and a Lavalier microphone.

Temporary Production Schedule for the documentary.
This is the Storyboard and Image System for my documentary. It shows screenshots from pieces of work as inspiration for how I want interviews and broll to look in my documentary.
