This week after adding the photos and B-roll we started adding music and really dialed in on the final touches. With this, we touched up the color and tested the audio. We made sure that all the things were right.
In week 13 after collecting the B-roll we realized we needed some more of the work that he had talked about in his interview. So I got his photos from the weddings, the Hometown Heros Project, and other photos of clients he was worked with in the pass.
We went out and filmed the B-roll that we needed for the Documentary, we went and got a few establishing shots of places in Valdosta. We got a few more shots of Javon working in office and doing things during his shoots.
In week 10 we worked on Javons interview by breaking up the multiple camera shots. With camera 1 and Camera 2, we cut the points that worked. As we did that we looked at the layout, broke up the sections and worked on the flow of the story.
In week 11 after doing the multi-camera break up I started to place the B roll in to the timeline as needed. As we did this we noted the b roll shots we needed or would need to gather in order to make the story flow.
In week 9 we worked on the trailer. placing the trailer together was easy after editing the interviews I knew where the talking and interesting points were. On week 8 we decided to work on the color grading for the documentary. We used a Canon r6 and a Sony a73 and so we tried to focus on how to match the colors. With the Sony, there is a greener color and the Canon is a more purple tone. So to make the …
