REFLECTION: Our first film idea had to be changed because we had some trouble with our main characters being able to play their roles. We decided that it would be virtually impossible for us to complete the project if we continued with our first idea because it was too much to recast and brainstorm new ideas. Because of that, the new script about the college student whose name will be confirmed later will allow us to work on our movie shooting skills. We fill that with the effort and focus on this project, this will be something to be proud of and put on our portfolio.

REFLECTION: Our new script is coming along nicely versus our old script and I can honestly say I like this one better. We found it way easier to limit the characters for this new script so we don’t have to depend on outside people as much. Finding reliable people to be our characters has been one of the harder tasks of this assignment but we continued to move forward and find people. We have our actors that we would like, but due to scheduling we’ve had to look at all our characters without making a choice besides Brian because Jaden and I have a limited schedule so it needs to be on those days we can definitely get the best footage from everyone. We’re both extremely excited to finish out our pre-production and eventually bring our visions to life on screen.
March 12-18
REFLECTION: We ran into an even bigger problem at this point all of our characters are unavailable on the days we scheduled to shoot so we changed our whole project to something that’s more relevant to us. We decided to make a documentary about our rap career because it is something we’re passionate about and we can rely less on outside people. After we tried to get actors together for our last project, it didn’t go well and this really stopped the progression of our project. So we decided to make sure to do something that we’re fully invested in such as our rap careers. We feel that this project about ourselves would be way easier than trying to craft something from scratch and get others to act accordingly. Involving something that we are currently invested in that would relatable better to our audience and it would allow us to have more creativity for the project.
March 19-25
After changing course, we took a trip to Atlanta to record our adventures in trying to find a new producer for our music which showcased what comes with being to upcoming rapper. While we were there we recorded for over 15 hours in 2 days and tried to showcase just how hard we were working to make our dreams come true. Some people don’t understand how hard you have to work to make your dreams come true until they see it firsthand. During this portion of the documentary, we wanted the audience to see the struggles the success that comes along with being new music artist.
