This week my group mates and I got together to discuss further plans for our podcast. First, we emailed our interviewees to ask if they would be interested in participating in our podcast. We decided that we wanted to have four guests in total. This includes Valdosta State University’s head basketball coach Mike Helfer, Valdosta State University Mass Media professor Joseph Culverhouse, VSU softball player Samantha Richards, and VSU tennis GA Estee Widdershoven. The second thing we did was our location scout. We had already decided on where we want to hold the podcast, but for the location scout we wanted to see what equipment we had and visually see what it could look like set up. After looking at it, we decided to use a tall table to have more of a professional look to the podcast. We then decided that we will use the studio lights for our lighting. We also decided to use four Canon XA55 to shot and have three podcast microphones for our audio.
The last thing we did was discuss our scheduling and pitch video. Since we were waiting to hear back from our interviewees, scheduling was a little difficult. However, since most of our interviewees are currently worried about games and classes we decided to wait and see when our interviewees were available. This would allow us to schedule our shoots at the most convenient time for our interviewees. As for the pitch video, we plan to film this at the beginning of next week. Our goal is to include information about our podcast that includes our main idea and what are goal is for this project. We will also include our roles within the podcast and who we plan to interview and why we chose them. The pitch video will be no more than 5 minutes therefore we have to make sure we include everything that is important.
