This past week my group and I planned to shoot our third interview; however, our interviewee was not able to meet due to a work-related issue. Because of this we had to reschedule our next shoot after our spring break. Therefore, since we had a free week, we decided to take that time to start editing our first episode. During the edit we had to take our video footage and figure out which angle shot we wanted to show during specific times during the podcast. Once we figured out which camera angles, we wanted to use we had to take our audio and line it up with the footage. This was the hardest part because we had to make sure the audio was lined up with the movement of our host and interviewee’s mouths. Once we finished getting a rough draft of the episode together, we plan to go back and continue to edit the episode with color correction and cropping some frames.
After spring break, we plan to meet with our last interviewee to schedule a day and time to shoot our last episode. We also plan to get b-roll shots of our last interviewee to include in their episode. The last thing we plan to do the week after spring break, is to start editing our second episode and possibly planning and editing our intro video for the podcast.
