Initially, this week I was trying to decide whether I wanted my capstone project to be a podcast or a short film. I decided to do a short film from a script I wrote two semesters ago titled Finding Faith. Finding Faith is a coming-of-age faith-based story about a girl named Faith who is trying to figure out who she is after having a near-death experience. This film will have drama, romance, and faith. I came up with this concept because I relate to this story being a young Christian woman myself. I wanted this film to highlight and reach those who may be struggling to find themselves and have questions that go beyond the natural realm. 

For filming purposes, I knew it would be easier to find college-age people to become cast and also have simple scenes that can be filmed in different locations so that I can have options without it derailing the story. My next step is to write out all the cast and crew that will be needed. I will also be creating a mood board that will help to identify the character’s personalities and the vision for what these characters look like.
