about this project

this project is one that will tell a story about renewal. growing up in a christian hispanic household, you gain a lot of perspective, particularly ones that peers around you often do not experience.

my goal was to tell the a story of growth and change, a coming of age film that goes past the 18 year mark, and to tell it through my eyes-through my personal lens.

it is a story of finding oneself amidst life obstacles- struggling to stay afloat while dealing with two different cultures, constant spiritual battle with religion and faith, and the responsibilities that come with family and love as the eldest of six.

about the creator

Bridget Barrera is a photographer and videographer that specializes in the art of telling stories, and brings humaneness back to creating. In a society that is filled with unrealistic expectations, and lack of reality, Bridget strives to remind audiences that we are much more alike than different, and that at the end of the day we are all people-we are all human. We lack empathy these days. No one cares about anyone else and its a saddening thing to witness. With her work, she hopes to connect to audiences, especially those are often times go unseen/are overlooked.
